Young Ruben knew Christ’s love because of The Way Out Ministries. But teenage gang life, drugs, and alcohol carved a different path for him. In 2009, he was arrested in a large police gang raid of Hawaiian Gardens. Years passed behind bars, but the early seeds planted by The Way Out Ministries continued to grow in Ruben. After seving his sentence, Ruben was welcomed home by the Way Out Ministries. He is now going through their ministry training program.

Barry and Terryl have served at The Way Out Ministries in Hawaiian Gardens, California, for nearly 40 years. Many struggle under the weight of crime, domestic violence, addiction, homelessness and poverty. The Way Out Ministries demonstrates the love of Christ through a full-time resource center, mission church, and community outreach programs that minister to the whole person.
