Jilbert, a young farmer, is participating in a five-year agricultural training program through CEPAD, an RCA mission partner in Nicaragua. With just one year of training under his belt, he has much to show: pineapple, squash, beets, and oranges.
In April, a special council of 74 RCA members will gather in Chicago. Their mandate is to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to discern “a constitutional pathway forward for the Reformed Church in America to address the questions of human sexuality as it relates to ordination and marriage.”
Over the past several weeks, the RCA has supported mission partners and co-workers as they work with refugees across Europe and the Middle East. Carolyn Otterness, who serves with her husband in partnership with the Reformed Church in Hungary, has seen the fruit of this support.
The RCA welcomes Jill Ver Steeg to its staff as the coordinator for transformational equipping. In this role, she will serve as the leader of the Transformational Experiences team, which facilitates opportunities for churches to learn from and with one another.
