The Board of Benefits Services has contracted with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services to provide free short-term mental health services to eligible RCA pastors (ministers of Word and sacrament, commissioned pastors, and retired clergy), denominational staff (including RCA missionaries), and their immediate family members. This service is available beginning March 1, 2018.
Through Pine Rest’s Employee Assistance Program, pastors and denominational staff have access to confidential, comprehensive counseling services, including an initial assessment, short-term counseling, and problem resolution with a psychologist or clinical social worker. The program includes up to three in-person or virtual consultations per concern. Pine Rest has a network of providers throughout the United States and Canada; virtual consultations are available worldwide. Also available are online resources for help with finances, health, taxes, insurance, and more.
Pine Rest’s crisis hotline is available to pastors and denominational staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The phone number is 833-244-2490.
