Ed and Luella Mulder Pastor Assistance Fund

This endowed fund provides financial support for retired pastors and/or surviving spouses who demonstrate extenuating financial need. The Board of Benefits Services is responsible for awarding grants. Grants may be provided to pay the cost of supplemental Medicare or Medicare Advantage insurance, or direct financial assistance. Ed Mulder served as a pastor of several RCA churches beginning in 1954. He also served the RCA as minister of evangelism, president of General Synod, and general secretary. He and his wife, Luella, established the assistance fund to support other retired pastors, spouses, and missionaries who have served the church faithfully for many years. Both Ed and Luella passed away in 2018. Their legacy of faithful service continues through this fund.
