Tom Johnson

  • Compassion and justice
  • Education and leadership development

Whap, whap, whap. A farmer in Pignon, Haiti, chips at the soil with his hoe, uprooting weeds with each swing. His work makes space for crops, preparing the soil for a good harvest.

Many Hands for Haiti (MH4H) is also working the figurative soil in Pignon. Founded primarily by RCA churches in Iowa in 2017, MH4H has been aiding several communities through agriculture, church leadership, education, evangelism, and health programs.

Tom serves as the spiritual development manager and staff missiologist. He manages all aspects of spiritual and leadership development training. Tom will also be launching MH4H’s missionary member care program, which provides needed spiritual and adaptive support for the ministry’s personnel who are conducting residential cross-cultural ministry in Haiti.
