Bob and Amy Abel

In many countries, it has become culturally acceptable for families to sell their children to make ends meet. Child sex slavery is a massive industry: 1.2 million children are sold globally each year.

Bob Abel works with Remember Nhu, an organization that works to end child sex slavery in 13 countries. Remember Nhu uses a prevention model that keeps children out of the sex trade before they’re sold, leading to whole communities that have put sex brokers out of business.

Lois Wanyoike

Lois's family taught her what love is, gave her a shoulder to lean on, and encouraged her as she grew up. She says, "Without them, I would not be the person I am today."

Unfortunately, around half of the children in Botshabelo, South Africa, do not have a supportive family, either because they are orphans or their parents are unable to care for them. These children often end up in institutional care or are forced to fend for themselves.

Josh & Sally Vis

They also offer individuals opportunities to support Palestinians, Israelis, and others who seek an alleviation of and ultimately an end to the Israeli occupation.
