He has served on General Synod Council, the Commission on Christian Unity, the South Africa Task Force, the General Secretary Search Committee, and as a delegate to the 2009 World Alliance of Reformed Churches General Council in Johannesburg, South Africa. “God has led me to service in disparate regions of the RCA, has given me a mind and heart to seek our unity in truth and grace, and has given me the character and convictions to solve problems and make progress,” Meeter said. “I value the authority of Scripture, the community of Jesus, and the vision of the kingdom of God. I value faithfulness in relationships, communication styles, and hospitality.” He and his wife, Melody, have two children and three grandchildren.

Leanne Van Dyk recently was an elder at Hope Church (RCA) in Holland, Michigan, and serves Western Theological Seminary as dean and vice president of academic affairs and professor of Reformed theology. She has been a member of the Reformed Candidates’ Supervision and Care, CCSC, Commission on Theology, and the professorate. “Much to my amazement, God has shaped my life and guided me to places and times of fruitful leadership in the church,” Van Dyk said. “I work to embody my core values of hospitality, integrity, and commitment in whatever situation I am in.” She has one daughter, Rachel, who is a social worker in Brooklyn, New York.
