RCA CARE Network: Respond to Colorado Flooding

Flooding in Colorado over the last week has left eight people dead and hundreds stranded due to washed out roads in isolated mountain valleys and canyons. More than 19,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed by floodwaters.

World Renew, the RCA CARE Network's domestic disaster response partner, is working with several churches in the affected area and will send an early response team this week to begin making contacts and planning for long-term flood recovery.

All Souls Church of Boulder (RCA) in Colorado has helped several members with clean up after their homes were flooded. Pastor Will Forsythe says All Souls is already talking with other churches and looking at the long-term rebuilding process and how they could be a part of it.

How you can help

Please pray for the people impacted by the flooding—people still cut off from supplies, people who have lost their homes, and people who have lost loved ones. Please pray also for the rescue teams, helicopter crews, and local responders involved in rescue operations.

Donate to help with flood relief. Give below or send a check, designated "U.S. Storms," to Finance Dept., 4500 60th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512, or, in Canada, to Regional Synod of Canada, 201 Paradise Rd. N., Hamilton, ON L8S 3T3.
