Tom Johnson

  • Compassion and justice
  • Education and leadership development

“Bonjour! Comment allez-vous? Hello! How are you doing?” The pastor of a small French-speaking congregation in the U.S. greets churchgoers on a Sunday morning. This pastor has worked in ministry since before emigrating to the U.S. from the Congo, but he never received formal pastoral training. He also lacks the time and resources to receive a residential education to earn qualifications for a job he already has. What’s next? He often wonders.

This pastor’s position is not unique. French-speaking church leaders are hungry for continuing ministry education opportunities. To that end, Tom Johnson serves as the Director of Equipping Christian Leaders Among French-Speaking People Groups in partnership with the Coram Deo Association of Churches. Tom assists in training and credentialing Christian leaders to French-speaking people groups in the U.S. and Canada, with a vision for equipping Christian leaders anywhere.

Your gift of a goat through this livestock program is more than just the gift of an animal--it is the gift of financial foundations for a family in Pignon, Haiti.
Your gift will help distribute solar-powered Mega-Voice audio players with Haitian Creole or French language scripture and Christian education recordings in rural Haiti where few have electricity or many are not literate.
