Church Growth Fund (formerly known as Building and Extension Fund)
Our name has changed, but our purpose remains the same. The Reformed Church in America Church Growth Fund, Inc. (RCACGF) supports the work and witness of the RCA by making loans to RCA churches, classes and other agencies and affiliates so they can purchase, construct or improve church property or facilities. The RCACGF also provides funds for New Congregation Matching Grants.
Loans of up to $25,000 are made on an unsecured basis. Larger loans (up to the current loan limit of $2,000,000) are secured.
RCACGF funds come from gifts and bequests from members and friends of the RCA, the sale of investment notes, and earnings on RCACGF assets.

A Home of Their Own Helps Nebraska Church Expand Ministry
Papio
Creek Church recently took out an RCACGF loan to purchase two buildings
that they had been renting: a former theater that they use for worship
space and an adjacent building that they now use for offices and
Christian education space.
They wanted to
better serve and bless their Papillion, Nebraska, community. "We shared
the facility and we couldn't do the things we wanted to do to make it
more inviting to people," says pastor Darrin Kimpson.
As
the new owners, they've done a lot of work on the theater building. "We
painted the outside and renovated and updated a coffee shop upstairs,"
says Kimpson. "Out front we've got a new illuminated awning that has
our name on it. We've also been renovating the lobby and we've done
some landscaping on the small green space adjacent to the building.
Gradually we will do more things in the theater itself to make it
brighter and more inviting."
