Synod delegates have elected Daniel Gillett as the next synod vice president. He is currently lead pastor of First Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan. 

Synod delegates have elected Daniel Gillett as the next synod vice president. He is currently lead pastor of First Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan.

“I recognize that we have conflict before us,” Gillett told delegates upon his election. “Fair process benefits us all and honors Christ; I pledge to do my very best. Transformed & Transforming is powerful and so I pledge to put my efforts behind that.

“I covet your prayers as we work together.”

Gillett will be installed as vice president during General Synod closing worship and will serve over the next year.

During General Synod 2015, Gillett presented several reports to delegates. He has served as president of Holland Classis, a General Synod Council member, and adjunct professor at Western Theological Seminary. He previously served as associate pastor of Haven Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Gillett and his wife, Sherrie, have two children.
